{Five Minute Friday} cherished
It’s Five Minute Friday with Lisa-Jo Baker over at Tales from a Gypsy Mama, and today’s word is “cherished”!
A full wood bin.
“Tell me about your day.”
My car tires checked.
“How’s your writing going?”
The wash moved to the dryer.
“Whatcha working on?”
The last slice of his favorite cheesecake left for me.
“How are you holding up?”
Sharing Kleenex,
we glance across
campus at the house
campus at the house
where a brave new widow
plans the life celebration service
for the man she fell in love with, here, at 17
the man whose devotion brought him to tears
every time he tried to explain marriage to his students
who learned all about marriage
by watching how completely
and utterly she was
cherished.
Can’t type for the tears. This is exquisite.
Really enjoyed this post
One of those ones you have to read slow to let it sink down and grab a hold of.
I think everyone deep down just wants to be cherished.
Cheers,
Leah
